Received my new 8000 grinder, stand and balancer yesterday. I took everything out of the boxes, can't believe how heavy everything is made. Going to try and get it together today.

heavy = RIDGID

Great observation about the heaviness of our products. One of the problems with most grinders is that they do not have enough weight to be RIDGID! Grinding is an aggressive process and when grinders are built with light materials the tend to viberate and be very noisy. They also do not grind as efficiently.

Thank you for the complement!
