New way to Market, get leads, get paid and automate the whole process

Estimating Concepts Goes Live with its New Automated Landscape Estimating Program

Estimating Concepts LLC of Nashua, NH today announced that it's groundbreaking lawn and landscape quoting tool has gone live and is now available for use by any Green Industry company in the country. Mylawnquote.com is a tool that allows homeowners the ability to find qualified lawn and landscape firms in their area and to actually perform their own service estimate using proprietary satellite measuring technology and the providers own pricing structure. The consumer has the ability to commit to the service directly through the site, submit a request for more information or to actually prepay in advance for the service they desire. Company founders estimate that lawn care operators will be able to double marketing productivity while cutting costs in half and will likely reduce accounts receivable by up to forty percent.

The companyís founder, Luke Tomanek stated that after dealing with many lawn and landscape companies in terms of their technology and ability to market efficiently that there was a significant disconnect with the modern consumer. "I saw the need to connect the landscape firm with the modern consumer in a way that saves time and utilizes technology. It was as if most companies grow their business by referral only and Mylawnquote.com will allow them to not only minimize marketing expenses but will virtually guarantee that they will experience significant growth beyond simple referral sales.

Mylawnquote.com allows the Landscape firm the opportunity to place a "badge" on their company website that will allow visitors to click through to a tool that will measure the square footage of a property with one hundred percent accuracy. From there the visitor will be directed to a company profile and a list of available services with their exact pricing. When asked about the potential for a homeowner to misrepresent the size of their property Tomanek stated that he knew this system wouldn't work for everybody. "We knew that many providers would be skeptical of the homeowner building their own estimate so we built in tools that allow the provider to use the same exact tools that the homeowner would use. A salesperson can literally answer the phone for a request for estimate and have a professional and descriptive proposal with exact square footage and pricing in the consumers in box in just a matter of seconds. This is an absolute no brainer for companies looking to streamline their estimating process and grow their business." He went on to say that the feedback has been incredible from every company who participated in the ramp up to launch. "I really think this program has the potential to change an entire industry." Tomanek said.

Mylawnquote.com operates on a monthly subscription basis and offers three tiers of programs with each one offering unique features. The company is located at www.Mylawnquote.com and inquiries can be sent to info@Mylawnquote.com.

I have no providers near me. Is there a test address or something that can be used to see what the customer sees?

You may go through the measuring and quoting process using the following link:

http://mylawnquote.com/Demo.aspx

This will give you a perspective from a customer wanting to request a quote for a given providers services.

1) So the first thing that wasn't clear to me (still sick as a dog so if I missed this I apologize) - there are two ways of getting to the estimating engine, correct? Either the homeowner finds you online and does a search and pulls up a list of providers, OR a provider has your badge on their site and that directs the prospect to your site. If they take the second path (via the provider's site) are they then ONLY seeing that provider's pricing? Or will they now be getting prices from the competition as well?

2) It didn't seem like there were options available to help differentiate one bidding company from the next (photos, link to website, testimonials, etc). Is there anything that keeps this from just being a tool to find the cheapest price?

3) obviously the scariest thing from the provider standpoint is the customer doing their own estimate. The terms of service are what I'd expect with a service like this, basically saying that you're setting up the date but not promising a nice dinner or a kiss at the end of it. What protections (if any) does the provider have if the homeowner misrepresents the size of the property (accidentally or intentionally) or if there are other factors that would make it impossible to service at that price? I just feel like in this age of Angie's List, Yelp, etc., it would be suicide not to service the property at the price the homeowner came up with, especially if they prepaid.

I think it's a neat idea that could work in certain markets and the pricing doesn't seem out of line, but I don't think I'd be comfortable with the things I mentioned.

First off, thank you for your feedback.

I will try my best to answer your questions/concerns below.

1) Yes you are exactly right, there are 2 ways a customer can create a quote. One being a search via the website which brings them a list of providers in their area, and the other through the use of the site badges or webkeys which direct customs ONLY to your services, not your local competitors.

2)If they found you via the website, doing a search, they get a list of providers with all the appropriate info regarding that provider available to them. Because we have just launched and provider listings are few and far between an example search query that will bring up a result can be found here: http://mylawnquote.com/Providers.aspx?Address=03031

Each provider automatically also gets a dedicated profile page, which for example would look something like this: http://mylawnquote.com/profiles/leaf_wise.aspx

Eventually profile pages will be built out to allow uploading of multiple photos, customer testimonials and more perks.

3) Your third concern is a valid one and something we at MLQ have been working on finding the best solutions for. Because with each quote you get the customer's measured square footage and their address to cross check their property size, this helps you decide if they were realistic in their measurements. Refunds, since handled via Paypal are a simple 1 click issue if a problem did arise as well. We also allow the ability for your services to be not given the option for prepay via the website, but rather a quote request is sent to you for review and your follow up with them would allow them to pay for the quote. Similar to a lead capture off your company website, but with the added information of a square footage and address.

Any ideas, concerns or suggestions we would love to address as we roll out the system. You guys are our main audience and any tools or features you feel would help your business we would love to accommodate.

Send me an email at info@mylawnquote.com for a first month free promo code to check out the system. You can cancel any time.

New Feature

MLQ has just added a new feature that we hope will help limit the providers liability. Within your profile of MLQ you can create your own Terms and conditions the customer must agree to before they are allowed to prepay for your services online.

This will help you control how you want to handle inaccuracy in measurements, refunds, and anything else you may wish to protect yourself from.
