Huge news from Square. Flat Small biz Pricing

Saw this today and know a lot of people who use square on the site. There's an annual limit and a per transaction limit but still a great price

Pay once a month( $275) to process all swiped transactions
at 0% per swipe within the following limits: up to
$400 per any single transaction and up to $250,000
in total transactions per year—or approximately
$21,000 per month. More like 1.5% if you can get close to the max

Details https://squareup.com/pricing/per-month

Wow! free no swipe charge for transactions under $400 and a 250k per year limit! Sounds like a gift. That would fit all of my monthly customers but a handfull.

Did you sign up? Do you know if this is a temporary plan? What about keyed entires... keyed entries are 3.5% + $0.15 per transaction

I've been looking at the credit card but most of my accounts are around @200/month and can't justify the 2.75% right now.

Does anyone have a plan for recouping the cc fee? Seems someone up here said it was illegal to charge a cc fee to the customers. I figures a $5 transaction fee or even the cost of the swipe would be ok since more than likely the customer is getting the rewards points, doesn't need to write a check or mail it.
