1988 John Deere Walk Behind Edger Complete Resto

So i needed a project and a walk behind edger and i though this would be a good one. Found her on craigslist for 75 bones with a Briggs engine beat to h$ll. Scraped out the engine and got $10.00 so i have 65 in it.

Broke everything down, sandblasted all the metal work, repacked the bearings and repowered with a slightly used honda engine. All put back together i have 400.00 in it. A new Mclane Edger with a Honda goes for about 700.

Take a look and let me know what you think

Yea i know what you mean. I have a stick edger that u se as well that is very maneuverable but as i start to really hone in on my competitive advantages and realizes that my edges really set the bar in my area this was a must for me. Dilapidated landscapes and landscape renovation are a key target for me and no way a stick edger can handle anything more than 1-2" over growth so this makes quick work of the over growth.
