Hustler z Diesel

It's shutting down randomly like the seat switch is bad, but I tested it and it seems fine. Also out of frustration bypassed it yesterday for a short time and it still shuts down.
I've tried wiggling the harness from where its attached to the frame to under the seat and still nothing.
With the engine off and ignition switch on and clutch on I've flexed almost every inch of harness under the seat to the control levers listening for the clutch to drop out and nothing.

What's next? I'd rather not get stuck in the middle of nowhere away from the truck with a mower that won't run.

HELP ?? ? ??

I dont have the model number in front of me but I think its newer shibaura diesel with a xr7 deck

Diesel Z shuts off

So I've checked everything and cant find loose terminals, bad connections, shot switches.... whats the possibility of the Diesel controller module going bad?

Acts like a bad seat switch after mowing for about an hour plus it will randomly shut down, starts back up and your on your way again.

Have you replaced your fuel filter yet? water in the fuel will sometimes act like this.
I would also check fuel line routing, make sure you don't have any kinks or binding happening.

Totally not fuel related.
When it happens it acts just as if you gotten off the seat. Turn off pto place levers in brake position and restart the engine, it will start and run fine till you move either lever out of the brake position or turn on the pto, you get the 1.5 to 2 second delay then shutdown as if you weren't in the seat. Put the levers back into brake and it will keep going.
Sometimes it will take three or four tries to continue. It seems if I let is sit for 3 or 4 minuets after an episode its ok for another 10 minuets to a half hour before it will do it again if at all. Wednesday I thought it finally broke, I let it sit for a half hour (did some weed whacking ) and it would still stall as soon as I tried to continue... I checked the plug on the control module and gave it a good wiggle to see if it was firmly seated (it was) and away we went till today.... stalled out twice in a 3 acre soccer field. Started and continued just fine with no waiting.
I'm now carrying a jumper lead to power the fuel cutoff solenoid on the injector pump just in case it dies far from the truck.

It may be the control module then, your dealer can verify this by swapping it out with a known good one.
