u-haul for a lawn set-up

Anyone tried using a used u-haul truck for mowing set-up? I see some large used ones for sale at my local u-haul. I think they have a 460 v8 with 24 ft of enclosed space. Pro's and Con's. Thanks

u-haul for a lawn set-up

For the right price they very well can be a perfect lawn/ landscape rig. We used to have one but it started costing too much so we sold it. We still use the box for storage at our shop. We also move the box in the winter for in site storage.

ANYWAY!!!!
These trucks are nice for lawn and landscape rigs due to the abundance of storage. I liked having all of the stuff we needed on one truck. Also ours was decked out! We were changing and sharpening blades on site/ in the field.

They're too high off of the ground and get around 5 MPG.

Most of the Uhaul trucks have over 200K miles and are beat to death when they sell. They also have boxes that are easily identified as a uhaul box. If interested in buying a box truck look at a penske or enterprise truck. Budgets are ok but they don't have a good service program.
