Ford F600 dump??

So guys I have been trading around some equipment, and traded my 92 NPR with open landscape bed for an older C30 box landscape van/truck ( has 1/4 the miles of the NPR ) and a 77 Ford F600 dump truck. I love having the box truck as now I dont have to laod and unload twice a day but not sure how to utilize the dump truck yet. I have an older Bobcat 743 and use it everynow and then for bush hogging and clean ups but not sure if I wanna go into full on dirt work as a service. Didnt know if any of you guys had any ideas....

I'd look at offering short loads for local delivery...topsoil, mulch, gravel.

That sounds like something that I could do, but is there any money to be made in it? anyother ideas from anyone?

I just recently helped my son-in-law find a good solid used dump truck about that size. He got an 82 Ford F700 . He is using it to do debris haul-offs for contractors. I am not sure about all the payment details, but he goes by various homebuilding projects daily or weekly and collects all the debris piles. He is paid some set percent of the value of each new home. Makes pretty darn good money at it, that much I know. He gets a "draw" against the total payment at certain points during the construction process, with final payment when he hauls out the last load at completion of the house.

That sounds like it would be good money, but all the contractor around here are all about using the huge companies for everything. Wish they would go with the smaller companies to help both sides out. Ill look into it though. Anyone else?

If you are doing any kind of landscaping or maint. a dump will be handy. Great for hauling off debris or your own materials. i have a 93 f600 I use it for firewood, mulch, I keep a couple loads of gravel and mulch on my yard for my projects or if someone stops in and needs a yard or two. Have you priced the ins. for it yet mine is kinda high for what it is. The truck doesn't make me as much as it saves me in time and delivery fees.
