working labor day....

we have a few crew members that want to work labor day so they dont lose out on any $....i feel that they deserve and should have the day off....however we are behind schedule due to a tropical storm in our area last mon/tues. we have some commercial properties that need serviced as well as some residentials...i feel if i dont let them work im hurting them in the pocket...if i could afford it, i would give them the day off with pay...but there are too many and i cant do it for all....

I pay my guys for holidays and run 4 day work weeks. They decided to work today and take take off Friday. I suppose 2 X 3 day weekends is better than 1 X 4 day weekend

We ran both routes as if a normal work day. We decided that whenwe pulled up to a yard if they had something going on we would skip and make up tomorrow.
