direction of crank bolt in clutch (Kohler cv25)?..

well if I plan on pulling this motor and doing head gaskets and rings..I better get my act together..I can't even get the crank bolt out yet! I tried manual and archives with no luck..need to know if bolt is RH threads or LH threads? Thanks. (I'd think it's RH)

thanks Patriot..

got it on the posting..I have done some 'ameture rebuilds' in past..but not twins. Good general Idea on most of it..Pic's will be a must though. I'm quite sure its head gasket as I power washed around cylinders and motor to get a good look. once dry I fired it up (after 6-10 minutes of trying of course)..a destinct wet (oil/fuel?) area forms really bad on bottom of right cylinder. even blows a splatter pattern around frame area right there. regardless..motor is coming out to do this as it's no good to me the way it is and much easier to work on at eye level. If ringing..need it out anyway. Gene

Gene...might be time to beef up your toolbox...
Inch lb. Torque wrench...good 8mm and 10mm wrenches an sockets..
These will help you more than you can know...
A compression gauge and leakdown tester would help you determine what problems your engine might have...before you take it apart...

Thanks Piston slapper..

I have good selction of wrenches/sockets..but I read a earlier post somewhere where you suggested on poster to invest in a 'inch lb' torque wrench..That is first on my list. Already decided to do rings so will look at rest good while apart. lap valves if can get by with that, or let a shop determine what to do with valves..Thinking that my budget will 'maybe' get me: ring kit/head gasket kit/valve seals if not with other kit..and lower crank seal. Not sure what else as I'm not a mechanic so we'll see as I go. Thank you PS and all others for all the help and imput.
