Losing Power to Wheels

I have a Fastrack Z with a serial number prior to 03037002. When I head up hill I am noticing that I am losing power to the wheels and I am hearing a whining sound. I am only losing power to the wheels, the blades continue to go full force. I was thinking I might need to service the pump/motor filter, but my model number is prior to 03037002 which indicates I have a sealed system. Would an old belt cause this type of problem. Any other ideas what might be going on.

I have had the mower for around 7 or 8 years and it has always worked great. Have not had any major repears.

Thanks!

You are correct, your system does not have filters you can service in it.
I would check the drive belt to make sure its not worn or glazed over, just to make sure this isn't your problem.
