Scag Tiger Cat Kohler Muffler

I think I found the baffles broke loose in my scag with 27hp Kohler, has anyone had to replace theirs only 34hrs and warranty is out someone said to cut baffles out but not sure if this is a good idea. The Scag number is 483266 where has anyone bought a replacement without paying a bunch are there any other aftermarket mufflers that will work, with the baffles loose does this harm engine. Any help with this would be appreciated.
