39-0-0 translates to roughly 3# per M so on a nice sized yard you need to evenly spread maybe 6 lbs of product. What spreader is working the best for these high nitrogen fertilizers?

So six pounds will cover 2000 square feet. That is a 50 foot circle. 3 pounds per thousand would be 1.17 pounds of nitrogen.
For that small amount you need something like an Earthway hand-held spreader.

Weigh out a pound and try to cover 333 sqft. Adjust rate gate, repeat.
