Its possible you got a lemon, work with your dealer to get it fixed under warranty.

Actually in 2008 they built there 100,000 aniversey addition, I think you might be off a little with 250,000 units

I might be a couple 1000 off not over 100,000.

Last winter I toured the factory, I believe they were approaching 225,000.
If I remember right.

Ok, hard to believe, my 2009 model MDD has SN# 103,702
your telling me in three years they made more mowers from 1980 to 2009? I go by SN number of machines produced. Even if you go to there site there MT/MDD parts manual dated 2009 only go up to SN 103914. Perhaps I'm reading the numbers wrong?

You certainly have me baffled, lol. Monday I'll call tec support and get the number to date for you. Perhaps they have a secrect factory that has produced 146,086 machines since there release of parts manuals dated 2009 with s/n 103,914!

is it really that important that your gonna waste your time and the tec support's time to find out how many machines they have produced?

No more of a waste of time than us just sitting around chatting on a Sunday! Besides I love there mower and you certainly have me wondering that i may be missing something. Walkers are amazing, with them anything is possible!

There is one word for the Walker MDD... awesome. We have four and they have been great so far, better torque, fuel economy etc. over the gas models. I would advise getting a speed up kit installed, we did and it makes a huge difference in production.

I was certain that they were talking over 200,000 models sold when we were at the factory.

Now you guys are making me doubt myself.



As for the speed up kits...... my local dealer doesn't recommend them because in their mind running the hydro pumps faster takes life off of them.
Now whether they have experience with speed up kit hydros going less hours than none I do not know, but their opinion is that you'll get less hours from the speed up ones.

Also, the speedup kit makes the steering very senitive, jerky, harder to control.
