Echo Pb770

I have my still pretty new Echo 770, and now when im using it, i have a loss of power. When i have it on full throttle, it feels the same as it idleing, when i have it about have throttle is where i probably get the most power right now, but that isnt really good. I brought it to the dealer and they said there was stuff in the carb ( last week) I picked it up and tested it out for about an hour or so, was running fine but then ran backinto the same problem. Any ideas?

Right off the bat I would say you have a old gas filter---replace w/new one and see what happens

Did you check spark arrestor. Mine on my Shindaiwa was plugged up. No power at all. Made a world of difference when I fixed it..

Mine did the same thing and I had to carry it to the dealer since you can not adjust the carb without the special tool. He fixed mine in about 10 seconds by adjusting the carb. As soon as he turned it instantly run better. He told me that deposits from ethanol gas form on the carb and most of the time this is all it takes to get it running better.

I own the PB770 and I haven't had that problem with it, but I did have a similar problem with a PB265 that I have. No power at all. Took it to the dealer who gave it to his mechanic. His mechanic came back five minutes later and it ran like new.

The Secret: SEAFOAM. He said I had stale fuel (3 weeks old) in there. He added about 1/2 an ounce to the "stale" gas and that was the result.

The ethanol in gasoline is especially a problem for two-cycle engines (as per the mechanic). The smaller they are, the more sensitive they are to older gasohol. He recommended adding 1 1/2 to 2 oz of Seafoam per gallon of fuel oil mix. So that's I've been doing since. Can't hurt to try.

Yeah. Gas going bad is a pain.. I use echo power blend oil mix in my 2 cycle gas .. synthetic oil + fuel stabilizer... Also seafoam is great, lll also run that in everything a few times a year.. mower, 2 strokes, truck.. or just anything that.uses gas... That stuff is magic... It didn't help my blower in this case. But I still.use it.religiously.
