Lesco Renovator Hydro Problem

Hi guys. I hope someone can help me. My drive belt which drives the hydro pump stops spinning when going up an incline or when shifting into forward and reverse. When this happens I have to disengage the slicers and gently engage it back into gear. Does anyone know if this is a belt problem or a pump/motor problem?
