That is lower miles(I think) and a KW with the auto, so it is a 'premium' truck. I wouldn't think it's a screaming deal but it is a truck that will last a long time(and really sweet looking). How many containers does it come with? If it has a couple then its not as bad.

The one way to look at it is if it's right for your business and will help get the work done more efficiently right now and down the road then even at the $60-65,000 it's a good move.

I think ours are 4000's.

I believe the 3's are MD (medium duty) and 4's are HD (Heavy Duty).

When a truck is speced (fire trucks or any other) they match the transmission to the maximum engine torque. Trucks that use smaller engines like the ISC Cummins use the 3000 series. Our fire trucks have Detroit Series 60 engines with something like 1700 ft./lb of torque and use the 4000 series. I've seen tandem dump trucks with smaller engines that use the 3000.
