29 Kohler EFI Engine - Opinions?

Hello, guys!

Do any of you have personal experience with the 29 Kohler EFI Engine?

Are there any drawbacks?
How has the reliability been in your case?
Is the advertised fuel economy real?
How do electronic components hold up over time?

Thanks for any feedback.

29 Kohler EFI Engine - Opinions?

I have one on one of my scag turf tigers. Very happy so far. They really sip the gas and have pretty good power. The fuel is great. I. Also have a kaw dfi 29 turf tiger. They seem pretty close on fuel use

I dont hate mine but it also dont love it. Its a bit under powered, and has a hard time starting when its cold. Its reliable but my next machine will be a bigger engine for sure.

I've got 600 hrs on my 2011 exmark with no issues. It does not have the torque like my 31 hp Briggs, but it is plenty 90% of the time. Fuel is right around 1.25 - 1.5 gal/hr.
