Yes, great time to treat broadleaf perennials like violet, ground ivy, etc. Will kill slowly, but will not be back next spring when it counts.

so, spraying the weeds right now, when the grass is stressed/'hibernating', isn't bad? will i get rid of dandelions for next year if i spray now, or should that have been done earlier? i would have sprayed a month ago but i didn't want to stress out the grass with the drought being so bad.
