Timing to pick up new accounts
When is the best time of the year to try to get new accounts? Keep in mind that I do snow removal as well, not just mowing.

All year long. Usually spring is busy time for me but I've gotten quite a few estimates in the last week or so as our season of mowing and applications is winding down

Depends on who you're gearing yourself towards. If its Commercial Property Managements it really varies. Some sign all inclusive contracts some sign seasonal contracts. I have just been awarded a few landscaping contracts and we're about to go into winter. So it really depends, It never hurts to ask though.
But its definitely something that you can work on year round. I do sales and during the summer is the hardest time to talk about snow to some people. I get the line "Its 90* and sunny outside... No ones thinking about snow" a lot! But it really just depends.... |

Early Spring is the best time for me also. I get a few leaf removal customers every year about this time, but most of those are people who mow their own lawn and just don't have a good way to get the leaves up themselves.

Timing to pick up new accounts
We alway a found that March through May was the busiest for new business. Also, it would pick back up in Sept and Oct. We would always get some coming in throughout other parts of the year. The peak times however were always challenging to get all of our work done while giving as many manual estimates as we could. That is why we created the AccuLawnSystem.com.
