I LOVE!!!! my proslide. I broke my leg about 3 years ago and had to have my sister and my dad who is up in years do all my accounts...I bought the proslide primarily for my dad so he didn't have to walk. He loved it. (He also found out if you are in a ditch you have to mow that has a bit of standing water, if you step fairly far back on it, it will plane on the water, lol, grass was getting too long there, don't usually mow in water though) I finally got to use it when I still had my cast on...lol...and I loved it...It allows you to mow alot faster unless you like to jog behind your mower. Its also very handy in that it retracts when you have to mow a bank or need to manuever in tight spaces. You would think that the ride isn't the greatest and when you go over trees roots etc, you notice them a bit, but otherwise its very smooth. Probably one of the better lawn investments I've made.

I haven't gone through any, still have the original. My hour meter quit working at 300 hrs...but my guess is I have about 500-600 hrs on it and its still thick and not worn. I think it comes with a 3/8" or 1/2" wear plate. Granted you'll shorten the life if you ski across gravel and pavement and I have not done either.

thanks for the info, I'm looking at a new 48" walkbehind. 1. Exmark X 2. Snapper Pro SW20 3. Hustler Trimstar. I dont like the wheel marks of other sulky's so I am looking at the Proslide and so far what i've seen I'm really impressed.
