Husqvarna 580BTS Backpack Blower in Action

Here's a video of my Husqvarna 580BTS blower in action on semi-wet leaves. I'm running it with an extra intermediate tube in the video. It concetrates the flow a little more and I presume increases the velocity while sacrificing the cfms a bit.

Good stuff...just got a new Husqvarna and love it so far. I call it the "hurricane on my back."

I've had the 570 for a year now, and it is a great blower. I love it. I just put my BR600 away for the winter. It does a good job and is easy on fuel, but it is no where near as comfortable to wear for more than 10 minutes as the 570 is, and the 570 has more perfomance. I love the cross chest strap, and the hip padding. Over the years I've had a few back injuries from more than one of the things I'm invloved in, but the harness takes the load off the back so well that wearing it is no problem.

To me fuel usage on these units is a non-issue. If a unit uses a pint an hour more but is 20% more powerful/efficient, it's a no brainer to me which one to use....I spend 75 cents more in fuel but in effect make $10/hr more = non-issue.
