Toro vs. Exmark Who Wins?

Ok... looking to update my fleet. have 2 OLD Cub Cadet Commercial mowers that I'm phasing out. Have financing through GE Capital and the only thing they finance anymore is Toro and Exmark, So give me the plus and Minus of each and if you had a choice mower in the 12k range what would you get? I currently run a 52" Stander and a 60" ZT on each of my crews now.

Is Exmark or Toro better? Where do the problems lie in each of these machines?

Both mowers are amongst the best out there. I would demo either one to see which one you like more. I highly doubt you will have problems with either one.

Biggest problem is with the dealers. Choose a good dealer to work with, then buy what they sell. One dealer I bought exmark from years back sells toro as well, so maybe if you get lucky you can find a dealer like that.

Really the machines are pretty much the same besides the deck and dealers. Each one may have different engines/ deck combos.

You do know that they're essentially the same mower? They even roll off of the same production line. Some of them even have the same deck.

Actually the Turbo Force and Ultracut are completely different decks. Also the Turf Tracer and T2 Walk behinds are completely different units, same with the 21 inch mowers since 2010

But they are made by the same company. I love Toro their decks have great lift while cutting in both wet and dry. conditions great. Also toro has an adjustable baffle for the condition you are cutting in

I have 4 toros. 3 60 inch Z Masters with diesel engines, and 1 36 walkbehind. The baffle thing is junk, we just remove them for a larger discharge chute. However, all 4 machines cut great! From my experience, they are both good machines. The only flaw in the exmark (in my opnion) is the freakin price. They are thousands more than the toros. Same size deck, motor and everything, but the Exmark is thousands more. Thats why I got all toro.......and the 0% from GE didnt hurt either. They wanted 10% to finance Exmark, 0% for toro. Gee hard call.
