Just picked this up

I just picked up this mower today for cheap. The guy I bought it from didn't know much about it. Can anyone tell me about what year it is and I you see anything missing on it. Also any issues with these mowers I should know about.

Yeah, invisible mowers do a great job on invisible grass, otherwise they don't work very well.

I did a quick search for ya, go to this site John Deere Parts

And search for 52

Scroll down to where it says: 2003 - 32-Inch, 36-Inch, 48-Inch and 52-Inch Commercial Walk-Behind Mowers - 17Aug11

That should be all of the parts decals and information on your mower

I dont think its an 03. My 96 looks way more modern than that. And the motor looks clean and it should cut nice. Watch out that sometimes my tranny doesnt like to go into 4th, but it has way over 2000 hours

Landfakers, I could be wrong, but for my mower when I search for it, it pulls up

2316 - 38-Inch Commercial Walk-Behind Mower - 01Jun11

The 2003 in this instance is the part number for the manual for his mower.

My manual number is 2316
