you may want to look into something like this....http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.php?t=362445

If all you have is resi's, (and a 21" mower) than this is the way to go. Very efficient set-up imo.

Thanks for your responses everyone!
Why are you pulling a trailer start with only a 21'' mower Get your self hitch hauler and strap on it So still have room in the bed for ur bag grass if you bag

I pull 24 ft goose neck trailer I haul 3 big mowers In town I get 10 mpg you wont hear me bitck on that Gas goes up customers get charge fuel charge gas goes down I lower fuel charge

Only way to know is to not use your trailer for a week and see how much you save.

You have a 5x8 trailer. I assume it is open so it's light weight. And you only have a 21" mower. So you can just work out of a pick up truck.

Thing is some guys have to use big trailers because the have to carry every thing they own whether or not they will use it.

I don't bring hedge trimming equipment when I mow lawns and don't bring my mowing stuff when I do hedges.

OP states that he uses 21" on Most of his lawns...sounds like he has a bigger mower.
