Eliminate-D - Cool Weather Question
Have you guys had success applying Eliminate-D in cool weather?
I may have missed the boat on my personal lawn. Temps are mid 60's this week during the day and upper 40's/low 50's at night. Doug |

i've used it throughout the season. I have had to do a second app 10 days later to get full control once the temps drop below 60

Thanks for the help.
I will probably go that route once the rain stops later this week. Doug |

General broadleaf throughout the lawn.
I'm going to give it a try and see how well it does. Doug |

Ya, it works. I like millennium ultra 2 or confront better. Used on my own lawn now.

Weeds never die as fast in fall. Most times you don't think it's working but you just have to have a little faith. I've never had to do a second app with to kill anything but violets. Use speedzone or escalade 2 mostly. I've used horsepower (similar to eliminate)some too. Just make sure you're mix rate and calibration is on par.

FYI, Confront is no longer labeled for residential turf.

Here's what's missing from this conversation.
There is a difference between chems when it comes to temps. One formulation might be an amine compound which is recommended for higher temps as it has less potential to burn a lawn in the late spring through summer. Then there are ester formulations. These chems are better for mid-late fall apps. You can use it in extremely "cool" conditions and down to the lower 40's for temps. Some would say doing a late fall ester app is going to yield better results on the hard to kill weeds. But even I have used amine formulations clear up until late October with great success. ....
