We use ours for all the above. I also use mine as a mobile hotspot, which allows me to make my truck into a mobile office. I do 90-95% of my invoicing, paying bills, scheduling. Calling customers, design, etc in my truck. It is great when you have a mid day rain you are waiting to pass

ya, forgot about that.... Verizon finally got 4G going around here and WOW! it's about 12x faster than the home DSL.... 36mbps vs. 3.5mbps. Too bad unlimited data is out the window.

I have noticed one thing, my wife has the iPhone 4G and I've got the Samsung Galaxy S III (android) and there's a lot of apps on the android that is free vs. paying for on the iphone.

Unlimited data is the problem we will be facing soon. Most people's hot spots are limited to a certain amount. We have had it since Verizon offered it, we pay $20 a month for unlimited data, and $20 a month for unlimited hot spot. Then they got rid of the unlimited hotspot, but let people grandfather in and keep it. Then they got rid of the unlimited data, and told us as long as we maintain a contract we would continue to be grandfathered. Now this past spring, they changed it again, and they won't be letting people grandfather any longer. Any change to the contract and we will lose our unlimited data and wi-fi. If we add a line or upgrade a phone, we loose it.

That's what happened to us.... we've been with verizon since they started in southern WV/VA. Had the unlimited data until the last round where "everyone shares" now or whatever that crap is. I have 3 phones for work and after that last change changed 2 of them back to standard phones and left mine with the data package. I'm going to have to be careful now... never was on the web too much with the phone until 4G came along, now I'm going to have to start using free wifi more than I'd like.

We used to play them against each other all the time. The Veriaon store I go to has a sprint and at&t in the same plaza. When I would go in and have a problem or didn't like pricing I would simply tell them that it buying out of my contract costs less than what I pay them every couple months. I would then ask for the offer in writing and tell them I'm going to go check at sprint. Every time they would stop me right there and start working on the pricing. We never paid an upgrade fee over the years, always got them to credit our account for atleast 50% of the yearly insurance costs, gave me discounts for larger tear businesses than we were suposed to get discounts for. Now when you threaten to go else where they tell you to go right ahead because they know that the others have very simular prices for the packages were looking for.
