Advice suggestion!!!
Hi everyone im new to the forum and to the business i was wanting some opinions on what i have to start with and suggestions for improvement. I know hard work and doing a excellent job is the #1 key to success with that said let me state i am just doing this part time starting out as i have a good full time job but i love mowing and being outside also i'm very popular in my area and very well liked so that's a great start!! Ok so the break down of my equipment ill be starting with and ill just be doing residential for the time being.
-46 inch cut 23 hp kohler engine husqvarna model 4623 zero turn mower. -21inch cut husqvarna push mower with bagger -2 echo back pack blowers -stihl trimmer also a homelite for the lady!!! -15ft trailer "room for adding"!! craftsman hedge trimmer -electric for time being and of course i have the normal hedge trimmers gas cans etc.. So i'm hoping this will all be enough and reliable to get me started as i only look to be doing around 10-15 residential clients a week. But i eventually want to make this a full time business for me and my family i've researched alot on the lawn care subject but i think their is always standards to follow but work and experience trial and error i believe is what will make or break a business. Any advice or suggestion will be greatly taken as i aim to make this successful and am very determined to shine in this industry. Also looking forward to making some new online fellow friends in the process !!!! |

First thing you need to do is get liability insurance and a business license!

Yeah i been looking into that also i just wasn't sure if i needed to do that right off or not because i'm only going to be servicing yards around 2 or 3 days a week starting out, but better safe than sorry and i want it all to be legit and legal. Around about what do you think the insurance will cost me?
