Yes sir I agree. Although somewhat simple machines they can still stump you. I definitely have a better idea how to troubleshoot from here on out. I really appreciate everybody's help here. I will not let this thread die. I will post after all is said and done.

The 3 bolts are out, but it will not separate.

Seal was saved and bearing is out. Will pickup the bearing and Gaskets Friday hopefully.

So far this bearing will be my biggest investment. LOL

Not for nothing but I've seen many seals that looked ok but weren't. If the bearing was hashed at the least the seal would be overheated. Proper case sealing is essential to how a 2 stroke operates. Your this far why chintz out now?

Well that seal was replaced to see if it would run. So It only ran for about 20 seconds total and the seal still looks brand new.

Might as well check that upper needle bearing on the piston end of the rod. Those usually go before the bottom one and can be replaced and not expensive. Just check it for play.
