Winter rye and pre-m
I am in central TX and I am going to overseed with rye in a few of my yards. Should I still put a pre-m down in jan-feb to stop the springs weeds from germinating or will something like dimension kill of the rye a month or two after putting it down? I don't want the spring weeds to germinate and I want the rye to last as long as it did last year (may) so our warm season grasses come back with a fury.

I think you would be fine. I tried it last year in potted plants of ryegrass, Dimension did not hurt the new grass that was about 3 inches tall.
