Nope. The interface is all online. You log onto a secure website and you can access the entire system. They also have a remote called Quick Draw that you can access on your smart phone. The cool thing about web based is that you can log onto your system from anywhere in the world where you have a computer with a web browser and an internet connection. For bigger stand alone sites I still prefer a dedicated stand alone central control system but the Hermit Crab and the Smart Works panels work great for us for clients that only have a single property and want to have weather based adjustment without having to spend a ton of money on a dedicated system.
