scheduling board
I am interested in putting up a schedulingboard at my office. What do you guys use? I need something organized and easy to use so that the supervisors can check out the board and get what they need without me being there. I had seen a nice one on Grunder's website but not sure how to use it. Thanks.

Our crew schedules are pretty simple. Maybe they're not the best, but it works for us.
For maintenance/grass cutting, we just use a white board divided into 5 days. Then under each of our 4 crews, we put down the properties. Typically, each crew does the same properties each week, but sometimes there's a surprise. For install/excavation, we have a huge whiteboard broken up like a calendar for 3 weeks, mon-fri. Then the jobs are put on the date.

I like that board. Where did you get it? Did you mark the days or did it come like that? Thank you for the responses.

I know its not the best solution but I started using a FREE program called Snap Appointments. Now its nothing fancy and its free so there are limitations. It may be something if your just getting started and need something digital instead of a white board.

We just use a big calendar on the wall. We list all customers who want work done that week on sunday then come that week, we call them and give them a specific day and write it on the day. Highlight when complete.

I don't do this but thought about it.If you pretty much know your going to the same customers each week. How would a metal calendar bd. work? Have the names put on magnets so you could move them around at ease. Then have some blanks made with some sort of dry erase material for the surprises that pop up.Just write on those until they become permanent.Probably work best for the maint end of it.
