walker mowers

I test drove one at the GIE-EXPO and I don't get why anyone would buy one of these. Took me a while to get the thing going...pull this lever then this other lever and then reach between your legs to steer....wait another lever to move you forward...wth. I jump on my hustler pull the levers in and here I go....gone in 5 seconds. I went over a couple bumps on the walker and my whole body was moving with it. I just didn't get it

My navigator takes the same time as my mid mount ztr to get going. It's not that hard

It does take some getting use to, but it isn't hard once you sit in the seat for a while. Just like the first time you ever got on a ztr you didn't look real smooth.

The trick is to use the left hand to steer between your legs and the right on the throttle. I don't use the throttle much once I get going. It all becomes second nature.

What I like about the industry as a whole is how every thing is the same. I find my self using almost my left hand only to operate my walker, zspray, and LS ride on aerator! Good thing they don't switch everything up on me!!

I like things simple and this thing just wasn't and the ride was awful. I must just be spoiled with levers that control turning, speed, direction and braking

You just have to be smarter than the object you're using

the mods should really just set up a walker sticky and let everyone have at it. I wonder how many walker threads have been started since the dawn of lawnsite?

I own a walker and 2 mid mount mowers. The walker is by far the easier one to use. Yeah it did take a couple of hours to get use to it is a big tank. I got a bagger, mulcher and a side discharge with the 3 mowers. The walker will take place or all 3 when needed.
