Hey Exmarkking....
How does that truck compare to a truck/trailer combo with insurance and maintenance? Im really trying to decide if I should change, hate dragging a trailer and hooking/unhooking all the time. i know I have to do the DOT numbers, mediacal card, insurance, and keep everything in top notch shape. whats your take on it?

Nice to see someone local. I like the truck too. I'm looking at buying one in the next couple years as the business expands. Lot's of LCO's around here run NPR's and Fuso's. They're so much more versatile.
I used to live in Kennesaw (graduated from KSU in '08). Grew up in West Cobb (Powder Springs off Macland).

I think it's a hassle with trucks trailers. You lose time hooking and unhooking trailers everyday. I think these trucks look more professional. As far as maintenance goes I do all my own so I don't know if it would be cheaper or not for someone who takes it to a dealership. I know parts are more money due to the fact that its a heavy duty commercial truck. They are very reliable. You don't wear out tires and brakes like you do on a trailer. Everything is locked up at all times. This is a dedicated landscape truck so you can't really use it other than for work. I have other vehicles to drive so that doesn't bother me. Insurance is not expensive at all. About the same as a full sized pickup. I've been on both sides of the fence and ill never own a trailer again. The sides fold down to load pallets. You can use them for everything including spray trucks, delivery trucks, maintenance,installs whatever. It's basically a trailer mounted to a commercial cab over truck. They are easy to work on since the whole cab flips forward to expose the engine

Awesome. Thanks. I have several buddies that run with "boxes" instead of an "open" bed. I just have to figure out which one will suit me better. May be hard to get a pallet of rock or sod in/out of the box truck. But all equipment is protected from the elements.

I like the box better. It's easier on the equipment and a good billboard for advertising. But they are limited and weight more and less aerodynamic so prob less gas mileage.

The truck has 146,000. It's a 99 model. Never given me any trouble. These are medium duty commercial trucks
