Help running from the big box store.

I have a small budget of about 3k, maybe 3500. I'd really like a ztr for my two and a half acres. I would like to buy something that will last longer than whatever I could pick up at home depot, menards etc. I'm really struggling with trying to find my local dealers. I feel like that's a stupid situation to be in, but it seems I need to know what brands to look for instead of finding a place that sells mowers and I don't know what brands to look for. Any help? I'm probably okay with a 42 as I've had tractors off of craigslists that have both lasted only a few years that were a 42 and a 46.

Buy a used COMMERCIAL mower from a guy going out of business, they are cheap this time of year.

Check the dealers. They may have used they want to unload.
