Hiring a laborer

So this is my second full season in business, and would like to hire a guy to speed up the day to take work on. Right now I have 34 weekly mowing accounts which brings just under $5,000 a month before operating expenses. Plus I have two 60 zero turn mowers an a 48" walk behind do you think its a safe time to hire

Absolutely. I was just talking to a guy today that has 40 accounts and 4 employee's. Me personally, I like to get as much as I can done by myself so I can bring in more dough.

For sure! Especially on the larger accounts with a lot of mowing, the time it saves will more than pay for the help. Put those mowers to work!

Why in the world do you have so much equipment for such little sales volume? Your loosing money now and want to add to that? You should be billing $5k or more in a week with those mowers.

I agree with you Efficiency - I'm doing more than 5k/month solo.

How long have you been doing it, maybe your market is better in your area. There's many variables let's keep that in mind

when you are working everyday of the week from sun up to sun down due to the amount of volume of work and cant keep up is when I hired my first employee. that opened up more of my time to sell more work.

Let's see. He has two commercial ztr's. Keeps one on the trailer for looks, not being used or making a dime. Option two, hire some help, which will allow him to pick up many more new accounts which he couldn't possibly do by himself.

"Your statement isnt even logical"

Put both mowers to work, that's my logic.
