And with a black chisel tipped marker...write...SlapperSauce...

Yeah, you can tell right off when bits of metal/trash get caught up in the plate, usually makes them little end slots about twice as long!

QUESTION AND ANSWER TIME.....
For these failures the engine is a Kohler Command CV25.standard ignition..
1)....Battery no charge..blows fuse when key turned on..doesn't blow fuse when regulator unplugged...
2)...Engine only runs on 1 cylinder until you apply the choke...then runs fine..
3)...Engine is leaking or using oil..While replacing the valve cover oring you find what looks like a piece of a metal guitar pic...

1. Bad regulator or shorted/grounded alt.
2.Air leak at man./head joint
3. Out to lunch breather valve/reed.

Not bad...
1...shorted stator....usually crunched by loose flywheel magnets..
2...intake gasket leak...every once in a while clogged carb..
3...broken reed valve..

Question #4....Kohler 25 with DSAM...

Installed 2 new coils..sequenced DSAM with tester...checks good...
Condition...coils have slight misfire until engine warms up...then runs fine...
