I'm just up the road from you in Kingsport. I think I know what that is but pull up a few with roots and all and photograph them against a white sheet of paper outside. Meanwhile, I'll wait.

Could it be a type of Bermuda that is more cold resistant? A common type?

Maybe doveweed? It is really hard to tell these things from photos sometimes but that is my guess

Riggle I wondered the same thing as I've been looking at this all summer. It seems to be confined to a roughly 60 x 100 area. I also have one small patch in the front yard where one of the downspouts empties into the yard. I guess I'll just spray it with some gly in February when I pretty much spray anything that is green in the yard. I did not put out a pre-m last year but will this spring. Maybe it will keep it a bay.
