LED bulbs & specs help
Who are the key manu's of spec-grade retrofit LED bulbs available on the market?
Like Tim said on another thread, it's like starting all over again. I was annoyed at some retro bulbs I bought this summer from my distributor that did not include much on specs or recommended info on voltage range for installation. I didn't see optimal voltage or even a safe range in the paperwork. I'm certain it most likely matters, and that is going to be different from one LED manu to another, as the electronics, drivers, and assembly components are very different from manu to manu. Thanks

Yes, there have been a couple of cases of noise or humming from some of our lamps. I believe on of them was your job just over a year ago. As I recall it was a peculiar case, limited to one specific transformer, on a large condo project? The other case was a crappy big box store transformer. We have since made some improvements in our drivers, and I have not heard of any problems recently. John Higo

Well it was on 4 transformers. Mdls-jeffersons-even buck and boost acmes. After multiple investigations by power company and numerous transient deterrent devices still no resolution. One day i would like to fix the issue. Would new retro lamps do the trick...... the humming noise kills me and the 45 plus homeowners

The Buck Boost transformers is where you need to start looking and it probably will end there.

That came out wrong. I didnt post on this topic to make "our" issue public. I posted to see a response to an issue that might or might not be public. But thank you for emailing me. Still wanna know where my plaque is? Hahah
