I though I would share a portion of my emails to Mike with your about my progress rewiring my Nativity Scene. Hopefully I can get a laugh out of someone.

Mike,

Any feedback on the ball breaker rewiring of Nativity Scene? Obviously in China they have some sort of template they use to construct this thing. I think it would be handy to have rewiring templates available on line or at least included with all replacement lights. I could figure out a pile of Rubiks Cubes before I could figure out the lower section of Joseph. I’m probably going to go to hell because of you! I bit my tongue as long as possible but eventually I had to start cursing at Joseph. Is it bad to call Joseph an SOB?

All right, I figured out Josephs lower section. I prayed for guidance and Joseph spoke to me. First he said he was going to send Scott to hell for making him in China and then he gave me the vision to make him whole again. Bad for Scott but good for me.

I have learned my lesson on restringing display items. take off old 3-5 clips at a time, then clip the new on right behind it as you go.

The folks in China must have decided to have some fun the day they made the design schematic for the lower portion of Joseph. It must have been some sort of competition to make restringing in the future impossible.

I did exactly what you mentioned but then I came to a spot when the wires start to hop scotch all over the place. The lights went from being in order to leap frogging ahead and backwards five spots at a time. The lights you needed to get to were covered by a maze of other wires.

I'm going to bring a set of these to the next NE event and I want Mike and Scott to get up on the stage and show us how to do it in less then half a day. For every clip they break they have to take a drink. For every additional clip they can't figure out in 10 seconds or less it'll be another drink. I should have them stupid drunk in less then an hour.

I told Mike if I'm going to buy more of these their had better be a chinamen included in every box or one on loaner in NE.

I got to restring part of one of my rooftop reindeer yesterday. I think next time I'm going to use my snips and cut the old lights up into as many pieces as it takes to make the job easier. My motto for the warranty return testing will be will be "if I have to put it back together so do you". I want to see the look on someone's face when they open my return and see a light set in 100 pieces.
