don't laugh when i say this but I currently use a 2002 Chrystler Town and Country! before i got the trailer i took the back seat and moved it to the middle for the kids and had all my gear in the back! the oldest started complaining about being squished is why i bought the trailer sooner i had originally planned to wait till tax time when i bought the mower which im kinda glad i didn't wait

I would go for the Ferris over that. 1300 hours is quite a few on a non-commercial brand like a john deere. And like i said get a 36 so you can get into back yards. A 54 would be good as a second mower, but not a first, because you dont want to turn down a single call because they have a gate that you cant get past.

I personally dont buy things with over 500 hours on them
and this is a good deal, you could offer him 1000 and i'll bet he would take it

I also have a 2002 dodge durrango 4x4 if i need it, i don't drive it because i drive all the tiem and that thing is a gas hog compared to my van after i get the new mower i may have to start using that due ot the added weight it does fine with my boat when i have to pull that but we try not to since we got the durrango we use it instead but the john boat we pull it with that

I would look into picking up that Encore 36 and maybe a 90s F150, 4x4, long bed with 100-150k on it or something along those lines. If you bid correctly gas shouldn't be anything to worry about because that should be built into the quote
