I pulled up the old google doc spreadsheet from last year, and saw you had some Utah 2013 lodging links on there. I looked at a few as well.
Here's some things I've found:
Deer valley and Alta are no for boards, so that's out for me.
Brighton, solitude, snowbird and a couple others are smaller, with less people, usually more snow that the others.
Park city resort sounds where all the intermediate locals go, very groomed, can get crowded
Canyons, I think was expensive if I remember.
Most the resorts are one hour or less from SLC, so finding lodging closer to the city may be cheaper.
Just some thoughts and findings.

Have the dates been finalized. Frontier has great price on a Feb 28 and March 4 flights days.

In lake Tahoe i stayed many times at the lakeside casino and inn....
It reasonably priced, has a small casino, a couple of restuarants, great shuttle service...its has a rustic lodge feel....though, not too new, it was clean and has friendly employees

We did the California trip two winters ago, near Tahoe. Great trip, lots of fun.

I think those dates are best, and haven't heard anybody say otherwise. Let's go with the 28th-4th. I am planning on driving, and may end up going a day early. I may pay for an extra day, or may stay at a cheap motel, or in my truck the night before. It all depends on weather.

I made a copy of Matt's spreadsheet from last year, and some Utah lodging that he found. I've added some lodging that I have found as well, and I am entering in all the data. Lots of condos available very close, some are ski in/ski out type. Still adding info, but cost should be about the same as last year, depending on how many people. I'd rather not get a place that sleeps 12-15, then only have 5-6 show up, as that will increase our per person costs. So it would be good to get some confirmations soon.
