The Pro 21 XD is out here:
http://www.gravely.com/walk-behind-m...s/default.aspx And unfortunately we can't get into what's currently in development. Whenever we are able to talk about new/updated products though we'll certainly let you guys know. |

The pro one looks nice. I like the Kawasaki and the drive system engagement system looks better built than the resi one.
EVERYTHING LOOKS BETTER ON THE PRO MACHINE...

Clearly states variable speed from 0-3.75 mph. I have to assume they are not lying...My LM21 classic is also variable speed and it works just fine, although I prefer my Honda HRC hydro drive.

I've used some high end residential 21" toros for years w/o much trouble, but those were aluminium cast decks and pretty rugged drive systems. I have a commercial unit that is so much heavier it noticeably ruts in wet conditions. So I wouldn't rule out a nice residential mower, but Gravely isn't proven yet in that area like some other brands. I have a Gravely ZTR that is very rugged.

the ariens pro and the classic do NOT share the same drive system! the classic has a disk and is varaible and the pro works by slipping the belt so its really one speed. yes they are lying when they say the pro is varaiable speed. there is a reason no one buys the pro. the drive system sucks
