SCAG Cheetah 61" 32 Vanguard Price?

I went into a local dealer to test drive the Scag Cheetah and i loved it. It was a 61" 32 HP Vanguard the sticker price on it was $10,799. I was gonna buy in within 2 days so i asked the sales guy whats the best price he could give me because im coming in the next day and buying it. He said $10,799 was the best he could do. I did some reaserch to see how much they go for and $10,799 is the MSRP! I was not about to pay full price for it so I told him i was going elsewhere to buy the same mower since he couldnt give me a better price. And now that I see guys on here, not one person has paid over $10,000 for a Cheetah. So glad i did a little reaserch before buying. So what i dont understand is why he couldnt come down on the price? he wouldnt even give me a free oil change or blades or anything!

I paid $9991 before taxes for mine with a 36 Vanguard on it. I was told the 36 is replacing the 32 for the same price so if you want the bigger engine look around. I didn't demo the 32 but glad I got the 36. Really love the mower so far. And yes, $10,799 is full retail.

$10,799 was full retail on a 34hp kohler 61" cheetah here. you should be able to get any of them under $10k.

What about a cheetah with a 36 vanguard 72 inch?

that one will cost a bit more since it's got a bigger deck. probably $1000-$1500 more.

My dealer was offering the same machine with the 72" deck for $10,600 + tax.

Some dealers just aren't willing to negotiate price. The local Exmark dealer here is that way. He sells lots of them, so he has no incentive to negotiate on a single machine. And that's fine, but he won't get my business that way.

There are other dealers that want your business that will be more reasonable. Shop around.

This was Saxtons in Plymouth. The one in highland gave me a price of $10,500. Yeah im shopping around but the problem is Scags arent popular in myarea so its hard to get a good price on one. Ill be happy if i get a price around 10k like every one is saying here on lawnsite.

Did you ever check with Burdick Street in Oxford? They had them back a month or so ago for right at $10K.
