Anyone have one of these? what are they used for? I bought a unit i thought was a power washer but it does 6-8 gpm at 1000 psi. here's the specs

Should work great for house washing.

nah you cant run chemicals through that for house-washing, or really use it as a power-washer.. What it is built for is getting a large volume of water out real fast to rinse after treating bricks... Alot of times when a building is built from brick, they get mortar tags, and in order to remove them or and staining or leeching of chemicals in the bricks you use chemicals to treat the brick.. And then you need to rinse them, so rather than stand there all day with a garden hose you can use this with a little extra pressure

Kendall, why can't you downstream through that? I'm running 9.5 gpm's a minute no problem. Do you know something I don't?

You can pretty much achieve the same results for any machine with the right nozzles and and an adjustable wand.

ops sorry, down-streaming you could use it... when you said house-washing I assumed you ment with your sh/water mix running through the machine(like drawing from a tank.. And that pump would not survive after running that mix.. But yes you could downstream, Ive never down-streamed, it seems like a lot of stuff to haul around vs having a chemical pump with a hose reel.. But sorry I stand corrected!

For down streaming all you need is a downs stream injector, (fits in the palm of your hand), and 5 gallon bucket) nothing really else to haul around. I have a chem pump and hose reel as well, but only use it for cleaning roofs. For house and building washing there really is no easier and faster way than down streaming, IMO.
