Looking for a place to dump leaves legally
Does anyone know where I can pay to dump leaves in the Hartford, CT area? My town dump doesn't accept anything commercially. What state dept can I contact or is there a link where I can find pay to dump sites? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Google is your friend. Also post on craigslist, I have found hobby farmer/gardners will take them to til in the soil.

http://www.greencycle.net/residentia...farmington-ct/ this should work for you they have a location in Ellington as well.
Other wise just look up the words compost and mulch and organic waste and you ought to be able to find that type of business you just need to know the magic words to ask. |

We use Envirocycle in West Hartford- $15.00 minimum. Monday through Friday. Weekends.....Newington Town Dump= just don't bring a lettered up truck or John (the attendant) will have at you. Take a good look at who goes into the newington dump.... most regular homeowners do not have dump trucks or dump inserts yet Saturday mornings there they are. Yes, I live in Newington

Good to know. I've been to the newington dump many times and I do see a lot of dump trucks. I don't have any permanent signs on my truck so maybe I can squeak by. I'll give it a shot in the spring. Thanks.
