husbands do not like me at all. The majority of my customers are single women also. When i'm ready to have a chat, they're not available. When they're ready, i'm sore, grimy, funky, pissed off, etc.

Being a one-man crew, my customers know it'll always be me showing up every week. And when I do show up and they're around, I make it a point to stop what I'm doing and chat for a minute or two ... ask how they're doing, talk about the weather, whatever.

At least in my experience, it's always much tougher to switch from someone who's friendly and takes the time to say hello.
