best stand on mower
I am looking into differnt stand on units. I currently run walker mowers and wanted to add a stander to my crew. I wanted to get opinions on what you felt is the best stand on mower and why. I have looked at the grandstand and the wright thus far. Gathering opinions to see what route to take. No dealers are close so I do all my own maintenance. Used is probably the way I will go. Dollars are tight nowadays. all posts are welcome

I REALLY like the scag v-ride.probably my next mower. Wright is very good as well which they should he because they are the original stander. The exmark vantage I dont like at all it cant hold a hill (my opinion)... but exmark made new changes to thw controls this year and I havent been on gravleys new stander (which looks really nice).
So in my opinon Scag V-Ride takes the crown.

Their are tons of threads about which stand-on is the best here on lawnsite. I have only demoed a Scag at an Expo show for 45 mins, but it takes the cake for me. I was on very bumpy ground on a hill and within 20 mins I was almost able to hold a straight line.
Michael PM me if anyone has standers for sale, really looking for a Scag 52" or 48" within a couple hundred miles (19711).

Well like someone said there are tons of threads here and on other forums about which stander is the best, it seems like what ever model you have it's got to be the best.
Someone said the Exmark is nothing more than a Toro with there deck and that's a true statement but as far as holding hills go I don't have that problem with my Grandstand. Now that being said my hills consist of pond areas which can be greater than the 20 degree recommendation for the mower. Before you buy a stander go out and demo a few and find the one that operates and is the most comfortable for you and you'll have the best stander. I can say though that you'll be hard pressed to find a more comfortable riding stander than the Toro Grandstand.

Can't go wrong with the original Wright Stander but personally I liked using the 52" exmark vantage this passed season.
