Blade Adapter - Interchangeable?

Looking to replace the blade adapter on my husky (HU775H). The extruded star pattern sheared off this last season and it needs replaced. However, I'm hoping to find a blade adapter that fits the shaft and has the rectangular blade attachment with the two pegs with bolt in the center (if that makes sense). Especially because Husqvarna discontinued the 4-in-1 blade that the mower came with. I can find aftermarket blades that fit it but they are ungodly expensive. Plus I'd love to be able to put gator blades on it, and I've yet to find gator blades with that star pattern (may be out there but I haven't found it). I've looked all over the internet mower part stores and can't seem to find any blade adapters that would fit.

Keep in mind the blade adapter on this model has the belt-groove to drive the wheels. Otherwise this would be an easy swap.

Any help or advice would be great. I've scoured all the sites I can find. Beginning to think I'm just going to have to go OEM.

Pictures below. Model is HU775H, OEM blade adapter part #581098501

You might want to ask this fellow which model Husky he has. His mower appears to have a standard blade with a single hole in it. The blade also appears to be some sort of Gator look-like. His is self propelled just like yours.

That blade is the 4-in-1 that Husq was putting on the past few year models. They discontinued it last year for whatever reason, about 6 months after I bought the mower.

Found this: http://www.amazon.com/Genuine-189179...d_sim_sbs_lg_2

Supposedly, its the newer blade adapter that replaced the star pattern one seeing as there are an ungodly amount of complaints of the star pattern shearing off the OEM adapters.

Can't tell if it has the torsion key on the inside that fits in the shaft groove. Also not sure if its the same length as the OEM. If it is longer, it would affect cut height and the wheel adjustments would be off. Might order it anyways and if it's not the right fit just return it.

The woodruff key is most like the same.

Ask that guy what the dimensions of his are.

Thanks, guess I've been calling the key part the wrong thing!
