I pre-emergent in April and I want to do so agian in early June.
If i use a fertilizer combo and I use a combination merit and fertilizer for grubs I'll be putting down like .8 lbs of nitogen with the pre-m and .6 lbs of nitrogen per 1k with the merit. The problem is would I be over with the nitrogen and if so should I push back the merit to Mid june and the Pre-m back to mid May. Bottome line what's the latest I can put down Pre-m 19-00-00 10% and Merit with fertilizer. |

I think you can go a bit later with the Merit and fertilizer, for grubs, mid-July is the best date for grub prevention around here. Rutgers should have data on the date for grubs to lay eggs in your area. You may wish to go with a low or non-nitrogen fertilizer with the Merit--such as 0-0-7, or Merit without fertilizer.
Consider Dupont Accelpryn for grubs also--better and safer. |
