BM's Picture Thread
I enjoyed looking at everyone else’s so I want to contribute.
The first one I was ambushing a retention pond The second had to haul sand out to an island to build a beach Last one we barged out 24 yards of concrete 6 yards at a time |

Nice, quick tip. After you attach your pictures you can click on the paper clip and put the pictures in your post and write the caption above or below.
I just figured that out a week ago, eliminates the attached images box at the bottom of posts. Welcome aboard.

Ok, I have to admit, I'm a little excited to have you on here.
I agree, it's great to have some younger people on here who aren't afraid of work. I've always been interested in marine based construction and have wanted to hear someone's story such as yours. So, how did you get started? How long ago did you get started? How did you get involved in barge work? What kind of equipment do you have (for those of us equipment geeks on here )? Do you employ anyone other than you and your dad? Do you enjoy having your own business at a younger age? Who do you work for? Are there really mermaids out there? (kidding everyone )Basically, I'm curious as to what your story is ![]() Andrew

I started the marine work in the spring of 08 there was a DNR job at our lake and I went to the prebid and talked my dad into letting me bid it and we got it. So we started out with a small barge and have just keep adding sections (They pin together so you can haul them) We have a bobcat T300 & 341 and cat D5G, 315cl, 315l, two dump trucks with tags and last week my dad bought a 330DL. Didn’t agree with it but he said for tax purposes so I will have pics of it soon. As for help my brother helps in the summer (In School) and I have a few part time friends who always need money. I work for the state mostly but still do a lot of residential work. I love what I do and enjoy the business but it is hard like you and Chris said with other kids our age and the paper work in the evenings.
